Samyan Eco Cleaning Rugs

In 2022 Seayan launched a contest for the new package design for a new recycled microfibre cleaning cloths. The core challenge was translating the strong sustainability message into packaging that would clearly stand out on crowded supermarket shelves.

Behind the Design

I decided to emphasize the ocean theme, making marine animals the focal point of the design to reinforce the product’s sustainability message. The illustrations of marine animals were sourced from Adobe Stock.

The Final Design

The product was planned for sale across Europe, and the client wanted a trilingual package. I faced the challenge of creating a design that accommodated all three languages without appearing crowded or visually noisy.

One rug is made from the equivalent of two PET bottles, a fact highlighted through an illustration on the back of the box.
